So once a year, every year, my friends and I have all had a 'family gathering' with each other -- where we talk, laugh, and feast on Turkey. Our place of choice has been Dan Ryans Chicago Grill in Hong Kong.
Dan Ryans offers the roasted turkey with giblet gravy, candied yams, mashed potatoes, veggies and walnuts and a dessert of pumpkin / apple pie for HKD$388 per person (Plus 10% Service Charge.)
But this year, we are throwing two more competitive options into the arena:
Lily & Bloom
Lily & Bloom offer an a-la-carte menu this Thanksgiving, but the main attraction here that might sway me and my friends -- is the fact that they would bring a 2lb turkey TO-THE-TABLE! To be carved AT-THE-TABLE. Haha, ok so I am a little over excited. You see, for us Hong Kong, third culture babies, we haven't really grown up with huge turkey dinners at home. So this aspect definitely has our curiosity and attention!
Blue Smoke Bar-B-Que
For HKD$378/per head, this restaurant -- more famously known in town for their burgers, ribs and bbq meats -- are offering pumpkin soup, smoked turkey served with cranberry sauce. The Cornbread stuffing sounds deeelishhh! Surrounded by sides of whipped sweet potato & meringue, baked mac and cheese, honeyed carrots, English peas ANNNDD homemade bacon. Dessert = apple, pumpkin or pecan pie. Mmmmm.... :)
